Trajedie: At the restaurant. Um… Adam?
Adam: Yes? Smiles.
Trajedie: Back in your room, I saw you had a bow and quiver. Are you a marksman?
Adam: Oh… Nods. A bit… I mean… I haven't practiced in awhile because of my health. I'm good at hitting targets but I'm not really strong enough to have a lot of power, so I'm not really the best archer. I'd like to pick it back up again… I enjoy it and I find it calming.
Trajedie: Interesting! Maybe sometime you could shoot an apple off of my head sometime, William.
Adam: Laughs. Do you do any sports?
Trajedie: Shakes her head a little. I'm not a very good at any.
Adam: You have any hobbies? Smiles.
Trajedie: Nods. I love to read… but I already said that. I like to swim, as well, but I didn't count that as a sport, since it's more of a way to avoid drowning than anything.
Adam: Laughs. Just for enjoyment? There are a number of lakes around the castle.
Trajedie: I really like swimming. I find it very soothing.
Adam: Can you play any instruments?
Trajedie: I used to play a flute when I was younger. I guess I was alright at it, but it's been awhile since I have.
Adam: Nods. I'm alright with the piano. I can play most of the classics, at least…
Trajedie: You can? I'd like to hear that sometime. Smiles.
Adam: Smiles. I'm not really good at it. I learned it to be a more "well-rounded" individual than anything else. Laughs a bit.
Trajedie: Do you think it has made you more "well-rounded"? Smiles a little bit at her own odd questions.
Adam: Well… It's certainly made me appreciate people who have an ear for music and can play well.
Trajedie: He has very good answers. I could see that.
Adam: Oh… You said you liked my brother's band… The Hungry Ghosts?
Trajedie: Nods. Indeed and you said you liked them too, I remember.
Adam: Nods. Did you say they were your favorite band?
Trajedie: One of them. I also like some of the others they're touring with.
Adam: Do you know when they're coming to Atlantis?
Trajedie: Taps a finger on her chin for a moment, eyes straying up again in thought. I don't know exactly when. It's soon though, maybe a month or so?
Adam: Smiles. We should go and see them.
Trajedie: Smiles as well. We should! A little excited.
Adam: Maybe Feemy will give me discount tickets. Smiles. Maybe I can get Feemy to give you his autograph. Laughs a little.
Trajedie: Laughs a bit as well, but kind of looks hopeful at that thought. Not a huge Feemy fan, just a fan of the band in general. May I ask why he always wears horns on stage? Or does he just wear them all the time? Giggles a little at the thought of a grown man putting on prosthetic horns early in the morning.
Adam: Um… All the time… They're, um… natural.
Trajedie: …He… grew them?
Adam: I… suppose so… He's… one-fourth sheep. One-fourth unicorn. One half Human.
Trajedie: Just stares at that. The question 'How?' may not be spoken, but it certainly is implied just by her confused and curious expression.
Adam: I-I-I don't really know. My mother and biological father adopted him about half-a-year before I was born…
Trajedie: Nods a little. Maybe it's best she didn't know, anyhow. John adopted you, then? Obvious, but anything to shift the subject a little.
Adam: Nods. He adopted me when I was four… After he married my mother.
Trajedie: Does he have any of his own children?
Adam: Nods. My two younger sisters are his.
Trajedie: Oh, I don't think I've met them yet.
Adam: He adopted my older sister and Feemy, too. He didn't adopt Elijah, but he still calls him father.
Trajedie: You have quite the… large family.
Adam: Nods, but smiles. I don't mind. More people to love.
Trajedie: Nods as well. It'd never get lonely, at least. I'm an only child, myself.
Adam: Do you wish you had a larger family?
Trajedie: Sometimes. At least when I was younger. You know… maybe an older brother to protect me or an older sister to talk to. Or a younger sister that I could dress up. Giggles a little at the last part.
Adam: Laughs. Not anymore?
Trajedie: It's not that I wouldn't like to have a brother or sister, but now our ages would be so far apart, that by the time I could even talk with my new sibling, I'd be old and busy with whatever career I've decided.
Adam: Nods. That makes sense.

Jessica: Tempting John to go another round.
John: Doesn't need that much tempting.
Jessica: Lays on top of him, smooching.
John: Holding her close and smooches back.
Jessica: Quite deep kissing.
John: Kissing quite passionately back.

Celena: Decided to visit. As they enter the castle. …Well, I at least expected some sort of welcome. I guess that's what happens when you come unannounced.
Middler: Well, at least we can surprise them!
Celena: Wherever they are.
Aldan: Quiet as always.
Middler: We'll just have to find them, then. Smiles.
Macy: Sits in her papa's arms.
Celena: Sighs. Tired and irritable from the trip. Holds Aldan.
Middler: My poor wife.

Adam: Would you like dessert?
Trajedie: I don't know if I could finish a full dessert…
Adam: We could share?
Trajedie: I was hoping you'd say that. Alright then. Smiles.
Adam: What kind of dessert do you like?
Trajedie: Not saying ice cream. Um… You can choose.
Adam: Do you like brownies?
Trajedie: Nods. I do. I really do. I have a very bad sweet tooth.
Adam: Orders said dessert.
Trajedie: Thank you for taking me to dinner, Adam. Smiles.
Adam: It was my pleasure. I really like spending time with you, Trajedie.
Trajedie: Despite me always asking questions that I ask you to elaborate on? Smiles even more. Looks to the table sheepishly.
Adam: Um… This may sound like a weird question… but how do you feel about… Settling down? I mean… Do you want to someday or do you not like the thought of it and never want to? Cocks his head to the side.

Middler: Has gone on search for someone. First stop is the training hall, thinking John, at least, will be there. That would lead to Jessica and thus, happiness.
Celena: Follows along behind Middler!
Middler: Training hall it is! But no John there.

Trajedie: Mulls that over a bit, eyes wandering as she thinks, though finally concentrates on Adam when she begins speaking. I can't say I've thought too much on it. I mean, I have of course and sometime I would like to settle down.
Adam: Nods.
Trajedie: There is a lot to do though and 17 going on 18 isn't very old, I think. Laughs a little at that. I hope that I have a little more time to think on it. How about you, Adam?
Adam: Laughs a little. I feel like I already am settled down… Steady job and everything. Heh… I used to kind of feel pressured to get married and have kids real soon… but… I think it'd be better to wait on that. Until I'm ready. I guess getting better helped realize, like you, I'm still young and have a lot I want to do.
Trajedie: Nods. What would you like to do? I mean, besides be a good Regent… er… What I mean to ask is, are there any other goals you aspire to?
Adam: I don't know… Laughs a little. When I was sick, I couldn't do much of anything… and now a lot of possibilities have been opened up to me, but… Well, anything I could do that would seem new to me would be old hat to everyone else.
Trajedie: Well… Is that such a bad thing? You get to experience all those things that people think are old with a fresh perspective on them. Not only that, but with you being unable to experience those things before because you were ill, I doubt you'd take those things for granted.
Adam: Smiles as the dessert is placed down in front of him. Maybe I can experience them with you.
Trajedie: …I'd like that. Smiles… at the table. She was sincere, but it's hard to not be a little shy, at least for her.
Adam: Smiles back and picks up a spoon. Eats brownie!
Trajedie: Endeavors to not eat as much as Adam.
Adam: Hard to keep his table manners. I love brownies.
Trajedie: Oh, I don't mind. Taking small bites with her spoon, barely spoonfuls.

Middler: Then tries Jessica's room.
Jessica: Loud moaning coming from it.
Middler: Heard that from down the hall.
Celena: Eww.
Middler: Let'stryelsewhere. Hurries away.
Celena: Hurries after.

Adam: …Do you not like it?
Trajedie: Hm? Oh, no… It's delicious, really!
Adam: Smiles.
Trajedie: I don't want you to think I'm a pig. Smiles back.
Adam: Are you and your family really close?
Trajedie: I wouldn't say we were especially so… but they were very kind, loving parents.
Adam: …Were…? Looks worried.
Trajedie: Gives him a reassuring smile. They're not gone, Adam… I suppose what I meant to say by that is, that we kind of drifted apart as I got older. Kind of as if they hadn't expected me to… well… grow up.
Adam: Oh… Frowns. …That's terrible.
Trajedie: Shakes her head. I don't blame them, really. I wouldn't doubt that it would be a little hard to accept the notion that your child is one day going to be an adult, have their own career, and their own children.
Adam: Nods. But losing touch because you have… Well, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?
Trajedie: I suppose it kind of does… Though another way of looking at it is that they've prepared me for adulthood and now I'm on my own. Like how a mother bird will shove her offspring out of the nest if they've tarried for too long.
Adam: Nods and smiles a bit. Yes… I suppose it's just odd for me, since I still live with my parents.
Trajedie: I don't think there's anything wrong with having an especially close family, either.
Adam: No. It'd be boring if everyone were the same.
Trajedie: Nods. Not to mention that your family seems… interesting.
Adam: Laughs. It certainly is. At least my sisters are mostly normal.
Trajedie: Giggles a bit. Mostly?
Adam: Well, my older sister is married to a Shapeshifter-Harpy. I guess my younger sisters are the normal ones. Laughs.
Trajedie: Laughs. I don't believe I've met your older sister either.
Adam: Well, she doesn't live in the castle anymore. Like Feemy, she's an adult and moved out. My brother's only there because he's not really safe outside the castle walls.
Trajedie: He's not… safe?
Adam: Well, he's wanted by Price…
Trajedie: Oh… Not sure what to say to that. Doesn't want to intrude by asking why, though.
Adam: Not sure what to say, either.
Trajedie: At least he's with his family, too… Hoping that's at least a consolation, as it's kind of come off to her that Adam's family is close one.
Adam: Nods. I think he'd rather be out on his own, though… Sighs a bit.
Trajedie: So much for that. I'm sorry to hear that he's sort of… stuck.
Adam: Well, I hope that Price can be defeated.
Trajedie: He could leave the castle then, at least. Oh yeah and all of Atlantis would be a better place, too. Forgot to mention that part.
Adam: Nods, looking a bit troubled.
Trajedie: Frowns at the troubled expression. …I'm sure he's a huge concern of yours… I'm sorry.
Adam: Spacing out a bit, just kinda staring at the table.
Trajedie: Figures that Price is a large problem to him, due to him being regent and nothing more. Not so sure of what to say now.
Adam: Seems to be off in his own little world anyway. The tablecloth is really interesting.
Trajedie: Reaches over and lightly pats him on the shoulder.
Adam: Jerks rather violently and stares at her in horror… Which is… a weird reaction. His expression softens. …Um… Sorry.
Trajedie: Hand jerked back when he did and now just looks at him with a worried expression on her face. Worried.. and a little frightened. It's… okay.
Adam: Smiles, trying to look reassuring, though he's fallen a little pale. I-I-I… just spaced out there…
Trajedie: Maybe he saw one of the visions he mentioned before. Still looks worried, despite his attempt to reassure her with his smile.
Adam: Color returning. Don't worry about it. Thinking of Price brought up some bad memories there, but I'll try not to go all post-traumatic stress disorder on you.
Trajedie: Blissfully ignorant of his horrible time at Price's hands. I'll avoid bringing it up again… I'm sorry.
Adam: It's not your fault… I just… Scratches his eyebrow a bit nervously.
Trajedie: Waits, wondering if he'll expound on it or want to leave it alone.
Adam: Cocks his head to the side a bit, not meeting her eyes. I had some bad experiences with Price.
Trajedie: That comes as a little bit of a shock, though figures that Price may have harmed or even killed someone in his family. …I'm sorry.
Adam: It's not your fault…
Trajedie: Can't help but feel bad regardless. …But still.
Adam: Um… Plays with his hair a bit. Price did some bad things to my brother… and to me… A long time ago. That's all. I know I'm not the only one who's suffered at the hands of Price and it's selfish of me to dwell on it.
Trajedie: It's not selfish… I can't imagine what someone like Price would have done… I'm sorry that he got brought up…
Adam: Smiles a little. It's alright… Really… It's something I need to… get over. If it keeps effecting me, that means he still has a hold on me and that means… He's winning.
Trajedie: …You shouldn't beat yourself up for being affected, though. Looks very concerned and sympathetic as well. Still, at a loss of what to really say that would have substance.
Adam: It just feels a bit… pathetic. It's been a long time since it happened.
Trajedie: Things take time to get over… Once more, said more with consolation more in mind than anything, since nothing of a huge magnitude has ever happened to her before.
Adam: Distracts himself by paying the bill. When that's finished, looks up and smiles at her gratefully. Thank you, Trajedie. You're very kind.
Trajedie: At least she's not so bothered by him calling her by her first name anymore. Smiles a little back to him, but can't help but feel like she kind of ruined their dinner. You're welcome, Adam.
Adam: Stands up and offers her his hand. I hope you enjoyed dinner.
Trajedie: Takes it and squeezes his hand gently, standing. I had a great time.
Adam: Squeezes her hand back and leads her outside, walking back to the castle, keeping her hand in his.
Trajedie: A little unusual to be holding hands with someone. Never really dated often, but in this case it's kind of nice…

Rose: Finds Middler and Celena. How have you been, 'Lena? All smiles.
Celena: I've been good. Hugs her tight. How've you been, Rose?
Rose: Hugs her back. I've been good, too!
Celena: Gives her a kiss on the cheek. That's good… Look how you've grown. Smiles. I bet the boys are turning their heads as you walk by.
Rose: Shuffles her feet and smiles at the ground. Hee… Nooo…
Middler: I'm sure they are!
Dani: Comes from around the corner in the halls.
Rose: Doesn't notice Dani. Dad told Sister and I that we had to go to Academy soon.
Celena: Oh really, what Academy are you going to?
Rose: Shrugs. I don't know.
Celena: You don't know? Have a little say in your future.
Rose: Dad said we were gonna talk about it, but he's been really busy, so I don't bother him a whole lot about it.
Celena: Where are Father and Mother? Thinks she knows.
Dani: I must be noticed. From behind them. Dunno. Haven't seen them today.
Celena: Jumps. Dani!
Dani: Grins. Hi sis!
Celena: Smiles. Hello, Danielle. Gives her a big hug, too.
Dani: Big hug in return. Sorry sis, but I am taller than you!
Middler: It's so good to see both of you again!
Dani: When'd you get here?
Celena: About half an hour ago… We looked everywhere for someone, but no one was around.
Dani: Oh. Dad's probably in the training room or something. He's there a lot usually.
Rose: Nods.
Dani: He stopped for awhile when he got hurt though.
Celena: We stopped there first thing.
Dani: Oh. Maybe he's in the dining room. Asleep. He sleeps there sometimes.
Middler: Ah… Heh… We're not looking for your dad anymore right now, Danielle… Do you know where Adam is by chance? Or Elijah? Does want to visit Gabriel, but would like to have Celena visit her family first.
Rose: Did you check his room?
Celena: I heard Adam was doing better, so I don't guess they'd be in the infirmary.

Adam: Before they get to the castle, slips his hand out of hers and stops walking.
Trajedie: Takes a step before realizing that he'd stopped and let go and turns to look at him.
Adam: Um… Takes a step closer to her. Thank you for that…. The encouragement, that is… I appreciate it.
Trajedie: You're welcome, Adam. Offers him a smile, glad she could at least offer him encouragement, if nothing else.
Adam: Gives her a small hug, shyly.
Trajedie: Moves a little bit closer to him as she returns the hug.
Adam: Um… Goes a little red.
Trajedie: Just looks to him even as he goes red, tilting her head to the side a little.
Adam: Blushes. WouldyoumindifIkissedyou?
Trajedie: Blushes as well, but manages a small smile and shakes her head. Then just closes her eyes and leans up for him, thinking he'll meet her half way.
Adam: This time doesn't rush into it… Slowly meets her lips and presses gently, trying to get a feel for it and hoping it will come naturally.
Trajedie: Presses back in response, lips are quivering a little. Nervous when the kiss had started, but it abates eventually.
Adam: As he loosens up more, the kiss begins to feel more natural. Wraps his arms around her a bit. This is kinda fun.
Trajedie: It is! You're the first guy that I've actually felt like kissing. Leans into the kiss a little more, moving just a little bit closer yet.
Adam: While he's enjoying it, doesn't let the kiss get much deeper or tarry much longer… Slowly parts their lips, a faint blush in his cheeks but mostly just looks happy.
Trajedie: Thankful for that, really. The kiss was nice just the way it was. Though they've parted lips, she stays as close to him regardless. Also has a slight red tinge to her cheeks, smiling sheepishly up at him. …You're red…
Adam: Smiles. So're you. It's cute. Laughs a little.
Trajedie: Giggles a little, blushing even more… but shakes her head. …I meant your lips.
Adam: Wipes at his mouth and laughs.
Trajedie: Laughs as well, smiling fondly at Adam.
Adam: I'm getting fond smiles?! That's very long-lasting lipstick. Laughs.
Trajedie: Nods a little, still giggling. It is… I think the color looked nice on you.
Adam: Laughs. I'm not sure what the people of Atlantis would think of me if I took to wearing lipstick.
Trajedie: I'm sure you'd make up for it easily. Full of compliments now and not even nervous, either!
Adam: Laughs and gives her a small peck affectionately.
Trajedie: You're not so bad at kissing, Adam. You at least have excellent timing. Leans up and gives him a kiss on the cheek, out of affection and partially to leave the red print of her lips on it.
Adam: As much of a genius as he is, doesn't consider that she left more red on him, so just smiles when she does it.
Trajedie: Maybe she's just strange, but she doesn't think it'll bother him and regretfully… It's getting kind of late. We should head back to our rooms.
Adam: Nods. Yeah. We both have work tomorrow. Takes her hand again and heads for the castle.
Trajedie: Heads back with him, of course. …Not that I'd be in any hurry to. I had a wonderful time. Just so he knows she wasn't saying that just to leave.
Adam: I did, too. Smiles at her. Let's do it again sometime.
Trajedie: Nods. I'd like that… Whenever you have free time would be good.
Adam: Your schedule is important too. Smiles.
Trajedie: Smiles and giggles a little. I appreciate that… but Dr. Marsetti and Dr. Romolo are actually pretty accommodating when they feel like it. They let me off earlier than usual that one day… They thought we were dating already.
Adam: Oh… Well, they're nice men. Walks her back to her room and gives her a hug goodnight… Thinks kissing her again might be pushing it.
Trajedie: Hugs him back tightly.
Adam: Hugs. Good night, Trajedie. Sleep well. I'll see you tomorrow. I think I might love you.
Trajedie: You too, Adam. I know for a fact that I really like you… Maybe it is love, I don't know, but this feels nice.
Adam: Smiles and bows to her and to bed he goes with lipstick on his cheek.

Jessica: Getting very worn out.
John: You're not the only one. Good to know being physically fit came in handy for more than guard work, though.
Jessica: John… Wants him to do it again.
John: You really are determined. …Jessica.
Jessica: John… So tired. Please…
John: Kind of obvious to see she's worn out. Kisses her… on the forehead.
Jessica: John…
John: Jessica… you're tired. Broken record, that's me.
Jessica: …Do it again tomorrow…
John: Reaches for her hand to hold. Yes…
Jessica: Falls asleep.
John: Kisses her forehead again and leaves the bed… and to the bathroom, to take a quick shower, so he doesn't smell like lovemaking. Manly sweat and all of that.
Jessica: Snores gently.
John: Comes to his senses and stops half-dreaming when he slips in the shower. Clonk! Well, ow. Hit his head. Oh horrors! …Not unconscious though. Just has a headache and is aggravated. Rubs his head and mutters darkly. Finishes up, gets dressed, and it's off to see if Nathaniel is doing any better.
